Our company ‘Edurar’, a smart online & offline business solution that provides an extensive range of business and marketing consultancy services is looking for experienced & talented ‘Contract Manager’.
•Support the project team in the supplier selection process to include but not limited to, requests for proposals, evaluation of bids, commercial terms evaluation and compliance, pricing negotiations, final purchase order issuance.
•Develop sourcing strategies with the project team that align with the corporate purchasing policies, project goals and objectives.
•Build strategic relationships with suppliers, contractors and vendors, including negotiating and drafting preferred vendor agreements.
•Communicate and build effective relationships with Operations, Quality, Tech Services and other internal teams to ensure that project activities (i.e. documentation) meets company objectives and standards.
•Negotiate equipment, service and construction contracts for capital project activities, including general and specific terms and conditions, contract addendums and payment terms.
•Manage the process for exemption approvals of uniquely qualified suppliers.
•Support project team as needed relative to the documentation requirements of the procurement process. Develop tools to aid team in the process.
•Communicate with Legal Affairs regarding capital vendor terms and conditions to minimize contractual risks.
•Communicate with Risk Management to mitigate capital project risks and secure appropriate insurances for capital equipment transportation and construction projects.
•Manage capital expenditure taxation – including application of exemptions and partial exemptions – coordinate with corporate tax department as necessary.
•Assist the project team with change orders, claims, back-charges and timely payments.
•Manage and mentor Engineering Coordinators.
•Assist plants with preventative maintenance contracts and leveraging spare parts for cost savings.
•Support project team with disposal/re-sale of replaced or removed equipment including fixes asset management paperwork.
•Increase leveraged purchasing to reduce pricing and lead-times.
•Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
•Perform other duties as required.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field or relevant experience.
•A minimum of 3-5 years’ related experience; dairy industry experience a plus.
•Strong knowledge and experience of mechanical, electrical or related processes; dairy industry experience preferred.
•Strong negotiation, technical writing and analytical skills.
•Strong communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail and professional.
•Strong customer orientation; ability to develop relationships and effectively influence at all levels internally (e.g. management teams) and externally (e.g. contractors).
•Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and analytical skills.
•Strong strategic thinking skills with broad-based business acumen and experience, with proven ability to identify opportunities and lead change initiatives.
•Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management and organizational skills.
•Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Maestro a plus.
