Description
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with EY policy in all claims handling
Acknowledge and/or respond to all enquires within the framework of the EY internal SLA, avoiding the need for reminders and further follow-ups
Ensure accuracy of information, attention to detail and timely data collection on the reason for the claim and its subsequent processing
Liaise with and obtain documentation relevant to claims process from partners and stakeholders
Analyze and report on claims trends within parameters set out by the Claims Manager
Investigate problems, identify and recommend possible solutions and corrective actions
To ensure that all intent and formal recovery claim letters are sent to third parties upon deciding the liable party
Track and chase internal departments responsible for claims payment to expedite payment to customer
To support Insurance department by providing complete information in the event of claims with value of more than USD25,000.00 within 48 hours of the request
To ensure that Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports are prepared and submitted to the Claims Manager within the prescribed time frames. Reporting shall include trend analysis where applicable and agreed with the Claims Manager
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education to at least high school diploma is required
Post holder must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of air cargo industry gained over a period of not less than 3 years, with a proven track record of success in cargo operations and customer contact/customer relation awareness. Working in the cargo claims environment for minimum 1 year being an advantage
TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English and Arabic an advantage
High computer literacy in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of air cargo operations & airline industry
Knowledge of conditions of contract (Warsaw & Montreal Convention)
Awareness of legal implications due to cargo claims handling
Attended and passed a Cargo Claims training course a distinct advantage
