Description
Aftermarket Sales Engineer- Compressed air systems
To develop the business for Service, Parts, Service contracts & other aftermarket products including competition parts and services to new and existing end users / customers and to increase the connectivity to installed base. Scope of work includes providing technical in-field support including installation visits and pre commissioning support to the end users / customers and to FAMCO IP sales team.

Duties:
• To develop business for Service, Annual Service & Maintenance contracts, Parts and other aftermarket products for air compressors & W & H within DXB and NE region.

• To develop & install parts and service marketing activities, “go to” market strategies and customer support package for each new installation. This includes recommended parts stocking, annual service contracts, menu priced repairs and re-man programmes.

• Provide data and feedback to the FAMCO parts product and inventory management team on parts competitors, general and specific market prices, parts availability and parts requirements (old and new) to assist in fine tuning inventory stocking profile.

• Manage and advise on the provision of credit facilities for new and existing customers and monitor the collection of receivables for parts and service within Abu Dhabi region.

• Carry out prospecting and conversion activity for existing customers & not using FAMCO parts & service.

• Provide up to-date competitive data from the field on existing and competitor installations through customer mapping in order to develop and enhance the FAMCO CRM database.

• To provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecast of parts and labour sales.

Job Context:This primarily a sales role with two key elements 1) providing the key aftersales linkages between the existing customer base and the infrastructure enabling the sales transactions to occur efficiently 2) managing and monitoring the direct sales of parts and service to the end user which is part of the P&L responsibility of the division.

Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Either a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with good knowledge of the aftermarket (parts & service, Energy Audit System ) within Air Compressors.
Incumbent needs to have knowledge of electrical, control & instrumentation systems, diesel engines & electrical motors (variable and fixed speed) good diagnostic capability and PC skills.

Minimum Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience. Ideal candidate has c. 5 to 6 years.

Job-Specific Skills:
Customer handling and relationship building, Hands on experience in handling Service and aftermarket activities for Compressed air system equipment and or any capital equipment, Ability to create or identify need for aftermarket products & services using scientific tools / methods as a consultant, Ability to work with teams, high level of communication skills and technical acumen with the ability to learn new products technical changes to specifications & product features, benefits and innovations.

Behavioural Competencies :Ability to communicate easily with internal and external customers, open and honest and takes ownership to solve issues, responsible and has cultural awareness and empathy, should be flexible and demonstrate sound work ethics.
