JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Receive specimens or PAP smears with request form from
the lab supervisor
- Check if the name on the sample and request form are
corresponding
- Allot a lab number and endorse the same on the specimen
container and request form
- Record entry of sample in the lab register under the
following headings
- Assist the pathologist during gross examination and FNAC
procedures
- Processing of tissue as per standardized procedure
- Takes print out of reports in duplicate and gets signature
of pathologists

CORE COMPETENCIES:

- Must have DHA license or Eligibility letter as
Histotechnologist
- Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal
communications skills.
- Working knowledge of Histopathology lab management,
maintenance of Histopathology equipments
- Familiarity of relevant regulations, specifications and
requirements.
- Ability to supervise and organize technical procedures.
- Ability to solve technical problems with customers and
personnel through effective communication.
