Sells a VMware product range and contracts to large customers and is called into accounts to identify and support opportunities.

The VMware Software Outside Sales Specialist is responsible for managing accounts in a given BU, focusing on developing and retaining customers, as well as Acquisition of new customers or adding software business to their existing Dell business.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactively solves customer business problems by providing expertise and by using higher complexity product and services lines to create solutions
Manages the relationship within group of accounts to ensure VMware opportunities and solutions are identified and closed
Attain sales target on revenue and margin for VMware
Regularly engaged at customer facilities and delivers high impact presentations leveraging strong licensing skills
Understand and communicates technology roadmaps and vision and associated technical advantages of the proposed solution
Recommends product and service configurations to assist with overall system design and integration.

Essential requirements:
8-10 years proven track record of face to face selling, preferred within the IT industry.
Proven selling ability in previous job level.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
Self-starter capable of working on your own initiative.
Additional skills needed include the ability to manage a virtual team, work with channel partners and vendor partners.
Provide customer and competitor feedback to management. Preferred VMware VSP certifications
