Description
KEY TASKS & PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABLITIES:

General Accounting. Voucher data entry including manual vouchers and payment vouchers. Petty cash vouchers verification and follow up.
Account Payables. Supplier invoices accounting, matching with P.O., follow up with operations team, supplier account reconciliations, payment proposal creation.
Intercompany accounting and reporting of UAE, Turkey and Qatar entities. Accounting of IC invoices, reconciliation of IC balances and follow up, verification of trading report, reporting in Tagetik.
Agents claims and settlement. Verification of subcontractor/agent monthly claims, follow up with operations team, timely accounting of claims, reconciliation and processing of monthly settlement.
Payments processing. Online bank payments creation and follow up for approvals.
Bank Reconciliation. Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts and follow up on open items.
Assist Credit control. Act as back up for credit controller for MEA customers credit follow up. Handle ad hoc tasks related to credit control. Credit performance reporting on need basis.
Assist monthly closing and year end closing. Handle month end closing tasks assigned by Finance Director and Financial Controller relating to UAE, Turkey and Qatar entities.
Assist statutory/internal audit. Handle audit related tasks assigned by Finance Director (FD) and Financial Controller (FC) relating to UAE, Turkey and Qatar entities.
Act as back up resource for accounting in Qatar, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and South Africa.
Balance sheet reconciliations of UAE, Qatar and Turkey as assigned by FD and FC
Monitoring of accounting data quality in outsourced sites.
COMPETENCES:

Sound knowledge of accounting concepts and book keeping.
Familiar with month end closing & finalisation of accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE SKILLS:

Post graduate/Graduate or higher finance qualification.
CRITICAL SKILLS:

Good computer skills, especially advanced MS Excel.
Knowledge/experience in ERP packages.
Ability to manage tight deadlines.
EXPERIENCE:

1 to 5 years preferred experience.
