Description
Our client is a well-established Insurance Brokerage licensed by Insurance and Securities and Commodities Authority headquartered in Dubai. They are looking for an experienced CFO with either an insurance brokerage or insurance provider background. Candidates who do not meet the criteria will not be considered.
The Departmental Head of Finance is responsible for analyzing the day to day financial activities and subsequently, provide advice and guidance to the Management on future corporate financial plans. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objective.

Description:
Reporting directly to Managing Director
Smooth functioning of the finance department; perform financial accounting, internal controls, performance management, banking and treasury functions
Collecting or filing of financial data and budget records in partnership with the Company’s finance team
Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
Provide financial reports/results and interpret financial information to Senior Management while recommending further course of action to achieve corporate objective
Provide financial management advice on revisions of budgets, preparing periodical forecasts and any changes as and when expected
Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowings, advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
Manage the preparation of Company’s budget, ensuring availability of operational funds
Corresponding with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be achieved
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities in all areas of the business
Develop trends and projections for the Company’s finances
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performances compared to the business plan
Accomplish finance and organisation mission by completing related results as needed
Knowledge of insurance software, as you will be required to lead the IT department, would be an added advantage

Criteria:
BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
Must be either ACCA, CI, CFA or CPA qualified
A professionally qualified Chartered Accountant with successful track record
Proven experience as a Financial Manager and have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market trends
Proficient user of finance software
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly regarding presenting the results of analyses to management.
Expert on Microsoft office
Outstanding Project and time management skills
Good command of English, both oral and written
Capable of prioritizing workload and meet specific deadlines
Adhere to company policies and confidentiality clauses
Must currently reside in the UAE
