Description
Support the Financial Controller in strategic finance matters, creating long-term finance business plan.
. Lead the daily financial reporting operations in a hands-on and proactive way, including providing and interpreting financial information.
. Prepare monthly accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, rolling forecasts, and commentary) in an accurate and timely manner. Keep records of all transactions in line with IFRS.
. Present results and issues at monthly management and board meetings (including KPI’s and variance analysis).
. Prepare commercial and finance information, create additional analyses and reports as requested and as part of the decision-making support for management. Ensure financial considerations are embedded in operational decision making.
. Lead the annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasts, oversee the budgeting process including effective planning, guidelines and assumptions and development of appropriate tools, assumptions and risks analysis.
. Prepare annual statutory accounts under IFRS.
Produce periodical financial statements and the relevant schedules as required by management.
. Plan and manage statutory audits, liaise with external advisors to prepare such information and obtain audit report from statutory (external) auditors.
. Manage the financial reporting team(4 employees) by, including, defining responsibilities and objectives, providing performance feedback, coaching and developing skills, recognising efforts and results.
. May perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile
. Internationally recognised financial qualification (ACA; ACCA;CIMA)
. Ability to work pragmatically and proactive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
. Ability to lead a team, work flexibly, prioritise own and team’s workload
. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strategic thinking
. Diligent work ethics with strong attention to detail
. Strong ability to translate finance data into meaningful information, sound decision making capability
. Good communicator and open personality
. Able to challenge the status quo and drive change
. Solid MS office skills, in particular advanced MS Excel, plus modern ERP systems
. Up to date knowledge of UAE legal, compliance and accounting regulations
. Knowledge of project accounting advantageous
