Main areas of responsibilities:
Constantly monitor business performance (in all areas and in all the branches) against budget/plan
Developing relations with Financial Institutions.
Formulate and implement appropriate business strategies and plans to achieve company objectives
Plan and carryout the appropriate steps/measures to ensure achievement and maximisation of business targets- volume, revenue, profit etc.
Direct the team in Identifying and developing new market segments, creating/tapping new opportunities and developing relationship with Key Stakeholders.
Direct the formulation and implementation of sales and marketing (commercial) plan overseeing that all commercial plans and objectives are aligned with strategies and objectives
Direct the formulation of implementation of operational policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of branch activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to internal and external customer
Create a healthy organizational climate and culture, lead and manage the team so that overall Oil Tanker Company performance is maximized
Continuously communicate company objectives and targets to the team and ensure those of the senior managers are aligned
Play key role in recruiting, and developing talented senior staff
Requirements
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in shipping (must have Oil Tanker experience) out of which 4 years should be in a senior managerial position in shipping trade with business/commercial responsibility.
Very good Shipping Knowledge – both commercial, operational, technical and legal. Should also have knowledge of chartering.
Excellent Knowledge of local oil tanker market
International working experience
Ability to think Strategically and to provide strategic leadership
Very good networking, communication, analytical and logical skill
Good computer skills especially ERP systems relevant to shipping industry.
