Description
Manage product deliveries, ordering stock, agreeing timescales, delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork
arrange products on shelves regularly min. 1 time aweek depends on product consumption in the respective store
planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers
liaising with the sales team, buyers, stores and branch coordinator
maintaining a comprehensive library of delivery records
working closely with the store managers/visual resp. and sales team to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise sales
when needed, produce layout plans for shelves/displays in stores
lead the refill of stock in regular days and during hight peak seasons/sales/promotions
support the sales manager in planning budget/present sales forecasts and figures for existing and new ranges
controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season
using softwares, for example to handle sales statistics, produce sales projections and present spreadsheets and graphs
maintaining awareness of competitors'' performance/activities and propose counter plans
monitoring slow sellers and report to sales team to action/reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
gathering information on customers'' reactions to products
help the sales team with analysis of previous season''s sales and reporting on the current season''s lines
produce reports to senior managers as needed
Propose cost saving solutions on deliveries when spotted/needed
identifying supply challenges propose solutions and deal with any problems or delays as they arise
managing, training and supervising junior staff
Key skills:
1) experienced merchendising roles in outlined sector and country
2) time management and priority setting skills
3) strong communications skills to cooperate with clients/team members/agencies/ business partners
