To achieve this, Amazon Middle East Customer Service (CS) is looking for a Sr. Defect Reduction Analyst who will work across the entire customer lifecycle to analyze, identify and deliver process, policy or technology improvement opportunities that will reduce customer effort.
The Sr. Defect Reduction Analyst will combine a masterful analytic ability with an obsession for the customer and fixing defects. The Sr. Defect Reduction Analyst will be skilled at identifying, extracting and presenting data in a way that influences decisions at a senior level with stakeholders from all departments. They will also be responsible for project managing the improvements identified through to completion by partnering with CS and non-CS stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs quantitative analysis of key processes and customer interactions to identify improvement opportunities
Works with product business teams to deep dive the root cause of contact and concession spikes and drives resolution of issues identified
Manages delivery of projects and process improvements as per the Defect Reduction roadmap
Identifies and challenges negative impacts to the customer experience prior to launch of new features and products
Creates dashboards, reports and metrics and prepares inputs to weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews
Proactively manages large scale customer impacting issues and creates systemic fixes and mechanisms to address them

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating insights, experience establishing and tracking program metrics including return on investment
Track record of sourcing and analyzing multiple sources of data to provide clear reporting of issues and how they affect customers
Track record of delivering improvements through use of business improvement and project management techniques. Solution-focused with a strong ability to negotiate and propose effective and practical change
Mastery in SQL and analytical techniques such as hypothesis and regression analysis
Advanced Excel skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA)
Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
Flexibility to respond quickly to change and reprioritize in the face of emerging issues
Experience in influencing and leading stakeholders without formal responsibility. Interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in BI, Finance, HRIT, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field required
Demonstrated expertise as a business analyst, data analyst or similar job function
Direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Business Objects, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)
4+ years of experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation
Expertise in Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (DMAIC, etc.)
Advanced understanding of best practice analysis, programming and visualization techniques.
Formal project management experience
Experience leading and or participating in structured process improvement activities such as Kaizens
Experience in creating scripts to automate processes and/or machine learning algorithms
