Here is a unique opportunity in Dubai for a talented Accountant. He/she will support the development of Astek Middle East in respect of accounting, tax, finance and salaries.

Main Responsibilities

You will be in charge of some tasks including:

Accounting of Astek Middle East:
– Prepare sales invoices in coordination with sales team
– Handle daily accounting on the accounting tool (Express Account)
– Spread charges among future periods when relevant
– Consider VAT issues in your accounting
– Handle transactions specific to the presence of Astek International employees: reinvoicing of costs with calculated allocation per country
– Book relevant provisions
– Prepare payment requests and coordinate with management for payment submission
VAT:
– Keep track of all the transactions impacted by VAT
– Prepare a file ready for review by management on a monthly basis
– Prepare quarterly VAT reconciliation
– Coordinate on time VAT payment
– Archive all the necessary supporting documentation
– Be aware of the procedures and organize your work beforehand to avoid delays
Prepare the monthly reporting:
– Export data from accounting tool
– Add relevant information regarding Balance Sheet Items and explain the month-end balances
– Understand and explain variations in Profit & Loss accounts
– Report to the parent company Astek International
– Interact in a timely manner with parent company to support with useful information and analysis
Handle payroll:
– Collect permanent data about all the employees incl. personal and bank details
– Collect monthly information about all the employees: bonus, expenses, salary increase
– Collect all necessary supporting documentation (e.g. advance request, expense report)
– Prepare a file ready for review by management on a monthly basis
– Prepare WPS
– Prepare payment request and coordinate with management for payment submission
You will assist the Financial Department of Astek International in the following tasks:


Setup the accounting for future companies in the Middle East
– Copy the accounting template from the existing company
– Handle daily accounting
Keep track of intercompany current accounts:
– Prepare monthly reconciliation
– Follow up cash transactions with other companies
– Archive all the necessary supporting documentation
Perform relevant financial analysis, such as:
– Cash Flow Forecast
– AR aging balance
– Sales and P&L per customer
Any other task relevant with the development of Astek Middle East or Astek International and required by the Financial Department
Desired profile

Educational background in accounting or finance
2-5 years of experience in an accounting, finance or audit department
very well organized and very good at multi-tasking
Flexible and reactive
Problem-solving oriented
English with good oral and written communication
Proficient in Excel
Punctual and reliable
True team player and can work in autonomy
Eager to evolve in a dynamic and international environment
