Description
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage cabin interior product specifications and standards to maximize experience.
• Develop and implement the aircraft cabin specification for all interior products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the feasibility of proposed innovations are in compliance.
• Develop and sponsor business cases to justify feasibility of proposed initiatives.
• Research industry trends by conducting competitor analysis.
• Manage market research to identify trends and incorporate into interior design strategy.
• Conduct RFP evaluations for vendor selections.
• Coordinate all stakeholders to establish a clear and agreed scope to drive the design process.
• Monitor performance and ensure products maintain intended standards. Support service teams to identify issues and improvements.
• Champion and align fleet plan with strategy, projecting aircraft fleet by generation and retrofit planning to best align cabin product across the airline group.
• Ensure all product development remains intuitive in function and design while retaining ergonomic standards fit for the customer market segments.
• Safeguard design utilizing scalable manufacturability to ensure high standards are upheld consistently. Facilitate increased in-service durability while improving aesthetics and guest facing features.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project management:
Evaluate, and recommend products to align with customer satisfaction and commercial goals. Develop products, optimizing design for aesthetics, function, and operational efficiency within defined delivery timelines.
• Policies and procedures:
Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the business, adhering to the manual of authority and governance for all agreements.
• Day-to-day operations:
Manage the day-to-day operations by providing clear and concise guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to efficiently achieve high performance standards and reports.
• People development:
Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize performance.
• Safety, Quality and Environment:
Comply with all relevant (FAA, EASA, and GCAA) safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor degree (4 years or more, in the field of Aeronautical and/or Mechanical engineering and/or Industrial Design).
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the aviation with knowledge in Aircraft Interiors: (Layout of Passenger Accommodations) configuration and definition, Human factors, Ergonomics, Decompression, and kinematic operation).
• Design process.
• Project management.
• Proficiency in Business case preparation, presentation and negotiation.
• Research and benchmarking skills.
• Adobe creative suite, and 2D/3D software.
