Description
Consulate General - Dubai
The Community Liaison Office (CLO) employs a CLO Coordinator within the Management Office under the supervision of the Management Officer. The CLO develops and manages a comprehensive program to improve post morale and ensure fluid communication between the Consulate General and eligible family members (EFMs) at post. Morale is directly affected by quality of life issues related to the Foreign Service (FS) lifestyle and post-specific environment. The CLO Coordinator identifies the needs of the Post community and responds with effective programming-including information, resources, referrals, and cultural and recreational programs. Serving as the community advocate for employees and family members, the CLO Coordinator advises Post Management and the Consul General on quality of life issues, recommends solutions, and family –friendly policies. The CLO Coordinator also serves on various Consulate committees and boards as a non-voting member, including the Emergency Action Committee, Post Employment Committee, and Housing Board.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education
High School diploma required.

Work Experience
Five years of educational or professional experience in event planning, counseling, customer service, social work or a related field required.

Language
Level IV (Fluent) English language proficiency is required. Strong oral communication and writing skills are required.

Knowledge
Knowledge of Consulate or Embassy operations is a plus.

Abilities and Skills
Proficient MS Word and Excel skills are required. Ability to search and find information and resources on the internet is also required. Must be able to learn MS Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher within the probationary period. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain TOP Secret Clearance.
