Alessandro Galvanni was born in Milan in 1936. His father was a veteran horseback rider and his mother was famous for her tailoring. Due to the bad economic situation, the family emigrated to Britain settling in a small town near London. Alessandro had a passion for horses and the game of Polo. Having completed his fine arts study in London, he took over the tailoring job after his mother had passed away. Alessandro founded Galvanni in 1973 with a strong focus on polo shirts. Galvanni products were handmade for the first year and were the preferred brand for polo players in the region. Galvanni now has expanded internationally in several European and Asian countries.
